Merry Christmas from the members of the Coplay Fire Department.

Christmas came early for us at the fire department. This morning we took delivery of a "new to us" water rescue boat! Boat 596 is a 2006 Mercury 17' inflatable with a 50 HP Mercury Prop Motor. After a minor refurbishment that will be completed in house by our members, we hope to have this unit in service with Lehigh County early 2021.

While some residents have been made aware of this via social media, Whitehall Fire Department - Station 40 was closed effective last night. We were prepared for this and Northampton Borough Fire Department has become our primary mutual aid Engine Company into the borough. The closure of this station will pose no negative impact to fire and rescue services for residents or business within Coplay.

The borough is currently under a Winter Storm Warning with expected snowfall between 20" and 24". We ask that if you have a fire hydrant on or near your property, to please shovel 3 feet around the hydrant. That will assist us in being able to locate and connect to it in the event of an emergency.

Our thoughts are with Northern Valley Emergency Medical Services, LVHN MedEvac, and the entire Shambo family.

We want to thank Lowe's Home Improvement in Whitehall for the donation of a Craftsman tool kit! Anyone want to guess how long until the elusive 10mm socket dissapears?

10 year challenge. In 2011 we had 60 motorcycles and approximately 100 people show up at my garage and participate in the first Tucker’s Toy Run. We took toys t...o Saint Luke’s pediatric hospital in Fountain Hill and raised 400 dollars to be used to put heating oil in the tank at his house to keep it warm while it was up for sale after his passing. 2020 brought 892 motorcycles, 2000 participants, 10 thousand toys donated, over 4000 pounds of pet food donated and an incredible $27,731 dollars made that day between the basket raffle, shirts, breakfast, lunch, 5050 and monetary donations which will bring our grand total this year to $67,731 dollars that we will be able to donate!!! I can’t thank you all enough for absolutely crushing it this year. If you were a part of this be dam proud of yourself. If you weren’t, I couldn’t explain the feeling that day. We are already working on a couple ideas for next year and we’ll see ya all Saturday November 6th 2021 See more
