Look at these chestnut mushrooms from Full Moon Mushrooms We have just a few available--they are similar to a cremini and have a nutty flavor. We’ll also have blue oyster, king trumpet & lions mane mushrooms this week. It’s #TipTuesday! Did you know storing celery and carrots in water in the fridge can keep them fresh (just like radishes)? The veggies will stay crisp and keep from browning, just make sure you change the water every few days. This is a great way to keep celery and carrots for snacks throughout the week, or to save them until you’re ready to make a recipe.

Ever see a rutabaga and wonder what the heck to do with it? Rutabagas are a root vegetable and said to be a cross between turnips and cabbage. The taste is milder than a turnip’s when raw, and buttery and sweet-savory (though still a bit bitter) when cooked. CHEESE SPOTLIGHT One of our newest types of cheese is Cowboy Coffee from Goat Rodeo Farm & Dairy. It’s made by taking wheels of cheese made with a mix of goats milk and cows milk & hand rubbing it with espresso, then the wheels are aged for six months. It’s described as nutty, sharp, crumbly, caffeinated, and delicious.

We have some awesome hot peppers right nowboth banana and habanero. They’re great fresh in a variety of ways, but you could also pickle them to enjoy throughout the year.
