Cornerstone Genealogical Society

Cornerstone Genealogy will have its monthly meeting on Tuesday, February 11, at 4:30. During this meeting, we will be going through the many Family Scrapbooks that our library has collected over the years. We are encouraging the public to bring and share their own scrapbooks with the hopes of connecting family histories! Everyone is encouraged to attend.

We had a great time at our open house and several of our photos were identified! We hope to see you in February when we examine some of our many scrapbooks.

The Cornerstone Genealogical Society of Greene County, located in the old log courthouse on Greene Street, will start its year with an open house. On January 14, at 4:30, we will try to identify pictures of individuals that the library has collected that are unidentified. The public is encouraged to come in, tour the courthouse, lend a helping hand with identification, or bring in mystery photos of their own. All are welcome.

Don't forget to check out Cornerstone's library for holiday gifts! There are many books and other gifts celebrating our local history.

Our October meeting is tonight, October 8, at 7 p.m. in the log courthouse on Greene Street. This month's speaker will be Zack Patton, who will discuss the history of the Village of Time. Doors open at 6:30 and the public is encouraged to attend.
