Hi everyone, I hope you all are doing well! Today, we gave away a significant number of masks to a local hospital and health care facilities. We've heard of physicians and nurses who are given just one mask to protect themselves for their sixteen-hour shifts. ONE mask! Our real heroes are these health care workers who are risking not only their lives but their families' lives too.... If anybody would like to donate any PPE, especially masks, please dm us. Hello! Yesterday, we did seven deliveries in the Upper Darby area. We're very excited to say that we're up to sixty deliveries so far! We still need volunteers for the Chester area. Hi everyone, Today, we paired up with home health agencies and are beginning a REMOTE outreach program with their patients. As you know, the elderly and persons with pre-existing medical conditions are the most prone to more severe COVID-19 outcomes. Consequently, we realize that this makes these populations anxious, especially if they're not knowledgeable about the disease itself. We've begun calling the agencies' patients to provide reassurance, to answer any questions (a...s per CDC guidelines), and to doublecheck whether they have essential groceries. One of our primary goals is to work with vulnerable populations who don't speak English as their first language. Sometimes, communication can relieve stress. :) Currently, we are in need of volunteers who speak Spanish and Italian. Please dm us if interested! Please take care of yourselves and each other! Hi everybody! We've received some concerns regarding the spread of the virus and the deliveries. We assure you that we only deliver SEALED food items, wipe down every single item with wipes before delivering, and take precautionary measures such as wearing gloves throughout the trip. When we deliver, we drop the groceries on our recipient's doorstep and notify him/her of the arrival through a Facebook message. No physical contact is made.
