Offensive players will focus on shooting, dodging, off-ball play and passing while defense will work on footwork, on-ball D, sliding and ground balls. Statement released in regards to rescheduling of the Upstate Lax Jam until August on ER Youth Lacrosse Due to this COVID-19 Pandemic, the E.R. Lacrosse Director...s feel the best situation for all is to be prepared and plan ahead. We can not predict when lacrosse will return, although we all hope as soon as possible. It is a sport that we all love, and one that our kids have grown to love. We cannot allow them to miss out. We are trying our best in order for our kids to be able to participate once again in the Dick's All-American LaxJam. Therefore, we are moving our tournament dates to the following: AUGUST 22: BOYS 3/4 & 7/8 AUGUST 23: BOYS 1/2 & 5/6 AUGUST 29: GIRLS 3/4 & 7/8 AUGUST 30: GIRLS 1/2 & 5/6 This is a very difficult and unprecedented time. It’s a drizzly cold and gloomy day in Central PA. How about some ladder drills? Footwork is key and speed/agility rule the field. If you do not have a ladder, use masking tape or sidewalk chalk in the rec room, garage, or unfinished part of your basement.

Central PA Lacrosse family, Youth Lacrosse is on hold throughout the state of Pennsylvania and many other states in the US due to COVID-19. Universities and their athletic governing bodies have cancelled spring athletics season. It is easy to get down and stay in a rut. Stay true to your love of the sport, spend some time in your yard with siblings and parents from your household. Pass, wallball, youth - perfect ground ball retrieval, look up different workout drills to improve skills/stay focused and conditioned. JT Noll ~ The Central PA Lax community lost an absolute champion of the sport, Thursday evening! Beloved friend / colleague, Jim Fiora, passed away on Thursday... evening. Jim was a dedicated member of the CPLOA and not just the CPLOA-LL. Jim totally understood the value of our camaraderie and importance of maintaining our cohesive and unique arrangement in Central PA. He was a tireless advocate of the game of Lacrosse and if there is such a thing as a "Blue Blood" in our game, he would have been one. His unique personality and charm is going to be missed by all of us that knew Jim. His "antics" on the field were legendary, his unique approach was quirky for sure but he was an extremely competent official. Any coach that had him work a game, a kid that played in one or an official that was blessed to be his partner will never forget him. He spent his entire career in the CPLOA-LL as Secretary/Treasurer. He made sure to organize and handle all of our social events and was always sending out reminder e-mails for officials to start getting in shape as the season was fast approaching and that we owed it to the kids and the game to be in the best shape we could be. He simply never wavered in his dedication to the game and to all of us...................... Jim also handled all of our training classes for new officials. There are countless officials in our Chapter that Jim and his classes had a major influence on. His love and passion for the game made for some long meetings at times. Listening to his stories and examples...........now........ I think all of us would love to be able to sit and endure a few more of those.................. Please, out of respect to Ann and the family, respect their privacy during this tough time. When there is more information about the funeral arrangements We will let everyone know.
