The book of Jonah contains several great miracles. The greatest, however, is not a fish swallowing Jonah but a whole city turning to God in repentance. Jonah 3:5 - So the people of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them.

In light of current events, we should remember that God does not want us to live a life of fear. He wants us to trust Him. Matthew 10:28-31 - And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.

We are saddened to hear of the homegoing of a faithful servant of the Lord, Dr. Richard Harris. Services to honor his life and his Savior will be held on Saturday, January 23, at Bethel Baptist Church, 754 E. Rockhill Rd, Sellersville, PA.

Join us on Thursday morning at 10 A.M. for our Thanksgiving Testimony Service. What better way to begin Thanksgiving Day than by praising the Lord for His many blessings.

Thanksgiving Day is a wonderful time of year that draws our thoughts to the bountiful goodness of our Lord. Let us spend much time giving thanks for His numberless blessings. Psalm 100:4 - Enter into his gates with thanksgiving and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

We must always stay focused on the Lord, for He is the God of all hope. Psalm 42:11 - Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

Do you view your sin the same way that God views your sin? It would benefit us all to often pray as David did. Psalm 139:23-24 - Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
