Its that time of year again when Scouters are working hard on their Pinewood Derby cars. Due to the current limits to indoor gatherings, Scouts have some extra time to work on their cars. We can't wait for our first outdoor derby in the Spring.

A scout is helpful and kind. Each year the BSA conducts an annual food drive, called Scouting for Food. This year it is needed more than usual. In a combined effort, over fifty scouts, leaders, and parents from Pack 203 and Troop 203 collected a literal truck load of food in the downtown Hershey area. The food will be used by our local food bank to help families in need this holiday season. The pictures below are some of our Wolf scouts doing their best.

The health and safety of our Scouts, leaders, and Scouting families is always our highest priority. This focus has been at the forefront as we have sought to n...avigate the current COVID-19 pandemic safely. Now, as we've been able to resume some Scouting activities, we face a new health and safety challenge this time at Camp Tuckahoe and, specifically, an unacceptable risk of injury from falling trees caused by unseen root damage to many of the trees at camp. On October 20, the Council's Executive Board unanimously decided to close Tuckahoe indefinitely due to concerns about certain species of trees, primarily scarlet oaks, in the campsites and primary use areas. As you might imagine, closing any Scout camp for all activities is not a decision made lightly. It is essential to explain why the Executive Board made this difficult choice.
