During Mr. Sam’s time as a plank owner on U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Bertholf he met ADM Thad Allen, the 23rd Commandant of the Coast Guard, and the 10th Master Chief Petty Officer of the Coast Guard Charles Skip Bowen. We think they liked his knuckle up photo pose!
