CYCLES PHL IS BACK ON AUGUST 6TH! A lot has changed since we closed in March, but we are back and even more dedicated to serving our neighborhood than ever before. Cycles PHL is now operating to support North Central Station, a new non-profit that we’ve been developing for the last few years to replace our for-profit space. North Central Station provides equitable access to active modes of transportation and fights for freedom of mobility in the greater Philadelphia area. ...NCS will be taking over the programming that Cycles PHL has been running for the last 5 years as well as introducing new programming and services. Through this pandemic we have already pledged over 50 free bikes to organizations, individuals and businesses who need them. Our space was founded to provide bicycle services to the Black neighborhood of North Philadelphia. We are here for them, to provide what support we know how, to share our skills and our resources, and to listen to how we can do better. We believe that mobility is a right and we are here to make sure that everybody in North Philadelphia can travel to where they need to be in a dignified, efficient and affordable way. Yes, we are still closed but our sister shop @germantownbikes is open for repairs by appointment and delivering new and used bikes right to your door!
