Today not only my guest, but I myself, learned a really good lesson that I think is so important to share to save you from the same mistake. . Imagine going to the salon and walking out with the hair color you've been dreaming of! Then shampooing and coming out of the shower with green, yellow, orange, and blue hair. What. The. Heck? ... My guest texted me and told me this exact scenario and my immediate thought was, "Maybe it's her shampoo"? When she came in it was very clear what had happened. My guest walked out with great hair but then did not use professional shampoo. Which I totally understand, and don't blame her for doing! The thing is, though, my haircolor can't be guaranteed if you're not using the right products at home. That's on me, though. Im the one who needs to make sure you're ordering @hairstorystudio products before you leave so that your color lasts and I can guarantee it will look amazing until your next appointment. So what the hell happened? The shampoo that was used had nickel in it. Essentially, there was a reaction between the shampoo and the haircolor that turned her hair all sorts of crazy colors. This is not something that you can easily fix at home because it's a chemical reaction and it could easily mess up the integrity of your hair and make things so much worse. . Hair products are not always FDA regulated because they are not considered cosmetics. Therefore they can basically put whatever crap they want in it.
