Hoka passed away recently, and it really hit me hard. I never know which patients are going to leave the deepest imprints on my heart. Hoka certainly did. When I first saw Hoka (and some of you who helped me with those visits will remember) he was kind of scary. The people who had adopted him were not his first family, and they were in love enough to give Hoka the changes (and chances) that he needed. With a lot of love and support, Hoka turned out to be a wonderful dog. He definitely picked the right people! I am grateful to have been a part of their journey together. Hoka, buddy, you will be missed.
