First - I am back from a fantastic vacation time and we are hard at work. Through a combination of new voicemail system and user error, I turned off our voicemails since the beginning of October. Thankfully, people smarter than me have recovered them. Which explains why I was confused about some of the recent phone calls. So I'm working my way though old voice mails and I will be responding ASAP. We have been working long hours on the machines to catch up on peoples orders as well. I'm so sorry for the inconvenience and we will do better in the future.

The shop will be closed for 3 weeks from Sept 23 to Oct. 16th for some much needed vacation. We will still be producing orders during this time. One of the things I love about Satin Stitches is being able to bring to life all my customers creative ideas. However, we also pay our bills from our large repeatable orders. Striking a balance between the large order and the small orders has always been a challenge. As of this week I’m going to try something new. Anything larger than 10 pieces will go in the large order queue. Anything smaller will go in queue for the small order calendar. For the small orders we will be wo...rking off the oldest orders first. This means we will not be able to do small order turnarounds on short notice. It’s not fair to keep bumping the old orders in order to do the short turnaround time frames. I am also modifying my hours to keep the front door closed on Thursdays, until I get some additional shop help. This will allow me to have appointments with customers and to run the machines without interruption. I do have extra help arriving for second shift and I’m very excited. I am continuing to look for additional help during day times. Our new hours are: Tues 11:30 to 6 pm Wed 1 to 5 pm Friday 1 to 5 pm Saturday 9 am to 3 pm. Misty

Lori has accepted a great opportunity at Bucknell working with their Biology labs and I (Misty) will be heading the shop during business hours. The holiday season is here! We are extremely busy this year. Our cut off date for Christmas is December 1st. Due to the quantity of work we are doing for Geisinger, our open spots after December 1st are very limited.

Today is Satin Stitches 3 year anniversary under Misty and Lori. It's been a wild ride! Hoping for many more years. All made possible by our fabulous customers!

Hello to all of our wonderful wonderful customers! We hate to say it, but we have the calendar fully booked from now until December 23rd. This means that we can no longer guarantee Christmas delivery. If you still have something special you would like- stop by to get put on the waiting list. Everyone already on the schedule will get their items in a timely manner. And if I may be personal for a moment, we ask that you especially grant us a little patience this Christmas ...season as Misty and I are the only two working at the shop and I recently found out that I will be starting chemotherapy very soon.
