#GivingTuesday What's your favorite memory of your time with The Delaware Valley Opera Company? One of mine is from the 1999 production of Don Giovanni, when I was one of the demons who drags The Don to hell at the end of the opera. The smoke machine broke just before we went on, so everyone on the stage crew who smoked pulled out cigarettes and started puffing away! I don't think they made much of an impact but it is a visual I sure will never forget! Your GivingTuesday dona...tions can help DVOC purchase special effects equipment and costumes to keep the good memories coming in 2021 and beyond! Costumes are the second best thing about opera - the music being number one! With your support DVOC's performers can continue to grace the stage in style. Special thanks to @johnsturgisphotography for capturing these images from performances of Carmen, Madame Butterfly, Faust and The Magic Flute To make a donation to DVOC, visit http://www.dvopera.org/dues--donate.html #givingtuesday ... The Delaware Valley Opera Company was founded in 1979 to provide singers in the greater Philadelphia area with training, and educational opportunities through exposure to all facets of operatic production and performance. Additionally DVOC is committed to making this unique art form affordable for audiences of all ages to enjoy and support.
There's more to putting on an opera than singing! It takes months of planning and manpower behind the scenes to put a production on the stage. Through your generosity DVOC will be able to store valuable costumes and scenery for future live performances. To donate, visit http://www.dvopera.org/dues--donate.html #givingtuesday
Now more than ever, we are grateful for your generosity
It is with deep regret that DVOC announces the postponement of the 2020 Summer Opera Festival. This was not an easy decision, but a necessary one, not only for ...the health and safety of our patrons and performers, but also to ensure that our artists have enough rehearsal time to properly prepare each opera for the stage. The good news is that this exciting season will still happen, with the same casts, directors and production staff - in 2021! 2021 Summer Opera Festival Dates: Candide: June 12, 16 & 20 Dialogues of the Carmelites: July 10, 14 & 18 The Tales of Hoffmann: August 7, 11 & 15 In the coming weeks and months DVOC hopes to announce other concerts and events for the 2020 season. We will keep you posted. In the meantime, stay safe, stay healthy, and savor the anticipation of being together once again at the opera!

The Delaware Valley Opera Company is pleased to welcome once again bass Mark Rohland in the role of "The Page" in "Amahl and the Night Visitors." The Page is a physically demanding role and one of quite observation that builds in agitation to the dramatic climax of the piece. The Delaware Valley Opera Company welcomes tenor Doug Rowland in the role of "Kaspar" in "Amahl and the Night Visitors."
