There aren't a lot of platforms where people feel safe talking about race in a way that has a long, meaningful engagement. It will be a hot topic for a minute, but then it goes back to normal life in Pittsburgh.

The Design Center joins so many others in mourning the death of Mark Schneider. He was an inspiration to us, and was one of the founders of a great civic event, Pedal Pittsburgh. We shared his belief that by improving the physical world around us, we can improve the quality of life of those who live in it. The Design Center staff extends its deepest sympathies to Mark's family and friends.
