The Representation of Women in the U.S. Congress Gender Week Keynote Thursday, March 11 7:00 p.m. Livestream Link... Dr. Kira Sanbonmatsu (Rutgers University) will share data from the Center for American Women and Politics (CAWP) about the current status of women in elective office and discuss women’s candidacies in the 2018 and 2020 elections. She will also share findings from her coauthored book, A Seat at the Table: Congresswomen’s Perspectives on Why Their Presence Matters, about how women in Congress perceive their representational roles. The book draws on interviews with women serving in the 114th Congress. This event is sponsored by the Clarke Forum for Contemporary Issues and co-sponsored by the Women’s & Gender Resource Center.

Dickinson Faculty: It’s On Us - Faculty Mini-Grant Application Announcement The Title IX and Sexual Respect Office invites faculty members to submit proposals for mini-grants targeted to topic additions to existing course curricula with the aim of integrating awareness, education and prevention of sexual and gender-based misconduct into academic programs. ... The grant is appropriate for courses in all academic disciplines. The Title IX and Sexual Respect Office’s Prevention and Education Working Group will review and award up to 8 proposals, for a $1,000 mini-grant per implementation into each selected faculty member’s course.
