Structural Analysis Software for Membrane Structures Including Form-Finding, Cutting Patterns and CFD Wind Simulation The structural analysis software RFEM allows for formfinding, structural analysis, and determination of cutting patterns of tensile membrane and cable structures. The RF-FORM-FINDING add-on module searches for shapes of structures subjected to tension or stress, such as membrane and cable structures, shells, and other structures.... The RF-CUTTING-PATTERN add-on module calculates and organizes the cutting pattern for membrane structures. Boundary conditions of the cutting patterns on curved geometry are determined by boundary lines and independent planar cutting lines or geodesic cutting lines. With the stand-alone program RWIND Simulation, wind flows around simple or complex structures can be simulated by means of a digital wind tunnel. The generated wind loads based on CFD acting on these objects can be imported to RFEM or RSTAB. Many membrane models are available for free to download on the Dlubal website "Models to Download." Use the filter options to find the applicable model.
