Goodnight Dad, I love you... See you in the morning when I get up! And he would reply...If I’m still here! Fred P. Seltzer Jr. took his last breath in th...e early evening of May 30th, 2020 in his home with his family by his side, now with his Maker, and joining his friends and family that have gone before him. Fred was a man that was larger than life, Born in New Castle, Pa. June 30th 1936 Eldest son of Fred P. Seltzer Sr. and Alice Marie (White) Seltzer. He graduated from Mount Jackson High, second to the last in his class But that did not define his life’s achievements. He was a brick layer by trade but became one of the largest General Contractors in Western Pa. of Seltzer & Young Inc. where he retired at the age of 38. Needless to say through the years, Fred went onto being a very successful entrepreneur. Fred met the love of his life Jaqueline French at the Tasty Freeze in Union Township over his traditional walnut sundae, They married on Feb. 8th 1957 Just a day after Jackie turned 18. And they had been married for over 63 years. Fred’s number one priority was always his wife and family, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, And going to the family camp in the mountains of Tionesta, Pa. He was a Mason and a proud father of 2 Veterans. Anyone that was lucky enough to know Fred will remember him for his love of cooking and entertaining, He always did throw one hell of a party! And always found a way to cook for you if you stopped by. He loved Christmas (aka Santa Clause) and enjoyed giving but never receiving! He was a loving father, honest and loyal, A man of integrity. In conclusion: (Just a Great Man). Besides his wife of 63 years, Fred leaves behind 3 Sons and a Daughter. Fred P. Seltzer III (Jill) of Leland NC. Charles Douglas Seltzer of Enon Valley, Pa. David Allen Seltzer of Wilmington, NC and Donnamarie & Fred Anthony of South Carolina. Also, his only brother Dick Seltzer (Marylou) of Bessemer, Pa. 6 Grandchildren and 1 Great Granddaughter. The family request all tributes be made to Pittsburgh Children Hospital in Fred P. Seltzer Jr’s memory. Final arrangements have been entrusted to Terry Cunningham
