Photography Program at Drexel University 10.11.2020

Come meet the faculty and students and learn about our program at one of our two Virtual Fall Westphal Open Houses. The first one is on Sunday, October 11, 2020, 10AM-12 PM and the second one is on Sunday, November 15, 2020, 3:00-5:00 PM . Our photography major is unique because of our teaching approach which blends a high degree of visual literacy together with cutting edge lessons in technology. We prepare our students for the marketplace by teaching every aspect of the me...dium, beginning in the darkroom, moving on to complex still digital techniques, and incorporating motion and video. We will cover what our students do on their Co-op, the course of study they follow and what our alumni are accomplishing in the field after they graduate. . If you are interested in attending either Fall Open House visit the link in our bio. We hope to see you there! #drexelphotography #highschoolphotography

As the Fall term starts and we are all remote once again we thought it would be good to give everybody some inspiration for the upcoming term. The work here was produced in @andreamodca ‘s Photojournalism/Documentary class this past term. The class was taught remotely with students from all over the country. Just like the previous remote spring term, our students did a superb job and all the faculty were impressed at the final critiques. Everyone is doing a great job!! #drex...elphotography #drexelwestphal Photo 1 by: Laura Breidenstine Photo 2 by: Magda Kubik Photo 3 by: Mary Kulesa Photo 4 by: Peter Adams Photo 5 by: Rachel Schmidt Photo 6 by: Rose Lawrence

To say the past term was challenging would be an understatement. We were all asked to teach and create remotely, and we knew it would take all of our collective best efforts to succeed. The work created in the classes was nothing short of remarkable and as faculty we were so impressed with the work we saw being produced in every class. Here are some more images from the sophomore Color Photography class. #drexelphotography #drexelwestphal
