Day 7 of the #declutterchallenge Purge your kitchen cabinets. Get rid of anything expired and donate non-perishables to local food pantries (call ahead regarding covid restrictions).

This is my fate.

Much of our reaction to experiences is relative, which can sometimes be confusing to others. What’s no big deal to one person can be crushing to another. Be kind.

Day 26 of #optimisticoctober Get to writing! #octoberchallenge

Day 6 of the #declutterchallenge Clean off your kitchen table (or counter). It’s so easy for the most random of things to pile up in the central part of a home. Clear it off- your space will look cleaner and larger.

Day 5 of our #declutterchallenge Clean out your fridge. I am guilty of having unintentional science projects lurking in the back of those chilly shelves

#harmOCD is a very real, but rarely discussed, subset of OCD. Examples include the fear a parent has about purposely dropping the new baby, driving off the road into a tree, using a kitchen knife to self harm, or pushing a baby carriage into traffic. The likelihood of the behavior is very low but the thoughts are scary and shameful, leading to silence. I was interviewed my @parents magazine about this topic and will share the link when the article is complete. #harmocd #ocdawareness #harmocdawreness #anxietydisorders #anxiety

Day 22 of #optimisticoctober I bet you’ve inspired people without even knowing it. Inspiration can be contagious! Particularly now, when energy is pretty low all around, spreading some inspiration is key . There are many ways to do this- create a fun challenge with others to hold each other accountable to drink enough water, get outside to get some air, start that book you’ve been meaning to get to, etc. #octoberchallenge @actionhappiness

Developing an understanding of WHY we react/behave the way we do can open up a more gentle approach to working through difficult traits. #quarantinewellness #quarantineselfcare #depression #depressionrelief #cbt #cognitivebehavioraltherapy #anxietyrelief #gratitude #grateful #wellness #growth #journey #psychology #therapy #psychologist #kindness #trauma #traumarecovery #traumatreatment #traumatherapy #change #ptsd #ptsdtreatment #ptsdtherapy #therapeuticalliance #boundaries #therapyworks #selflove #selfcare #confidence

If you find yourself questioning yourself and your sanity, you may be being simultaneously gaslighted by this person. Talk to those you trust to gauge typical responses. #quarantinewellness #quarantineselfcare #depression #depressionrelief #cbt #cognitivebehavioraltherapy #anxietyrelief #gratitude #grateful #wellness #growth #journey #psychology #therapy #psychologist #kindness #trauma #traumarecovery #traumatreatment #traumatherapy #change #ptsd #ptsdtreatment #ptsdtherapy #therapeuticalliance #boundaries #therapyworks #selflove #selfcare #confidence
