Part of providing some of the best player development opportunities in the region is ensuring that the Club’s coaches continue to develop. Here at EPYSC we take coaching education and development very seriously and continually encourage and support our volunteer coaches through our partnerships with Cedar Stars Academy Hudson Valley, Capelli Sport, and United Soccer Coaches. All EPYSC coaches are required to have U.S. Soccer coaching licenses. In April, five of our most exp...erienced coaches will begin a four month course to earn their USSF National D License, in order to better the development of EPYSC’s players and the club as a whole. To earn the National D License, the coaches will be participating in weekly courses and completing assignments throughout the week. In addition, other coaches have been completing their Grassroots Coaching courses in preparation for the spring season, while also supplementing their coaching knowledge with courses through United Soccer Coaches. EPYSC is able to provide such a phenomenal program at a very reasonable cost to local families due to the very committed volunteers that make it all happen. THANK YOU, Coaches!! Congratulations to former East Hudson Youth Soccer League player Curtis Ofori from Wappinger United Soccer Club! Curtis is the youngest player ever signed to a New York Red Bulls professional contract, beating out Tyler Adams who also came out of EHYSL! Good luck Curtis!
