most recent job I completed this customer didn't want all of the Rust taken off down to the white metal, he's not going to paint it or anything not even clear coat so I had to lightly feather and brush to try to make all the old rust blend with the new rust and yet continue to take off the blue paint his request was that no blue paint remain.

Was finally able to limp my equipment through one job at least. This customer didn't want it cleaned to white metal they're going to let this vehicle rust again but just rest a little more evenly and they wanted all the paint off

The reason your paint fails on your Auto or the paint fails on a trailer or pretty much anything metal is because the factories and manufacturers do not remove the mill scale. Mill scale is the leading cause of failed paint, you might think you're touching clean metal but you're really not metal should look almost aluminum when the mill scale is removed.
