East Lansdowne Fire Company

At 7 am this morning, the company was dispatched to the unit block of South Lansdowne Ave in Co. 19's local for the Building Fire. Shortly after the initial dispatch, the assignment was upgraded to a working building fire with entrainment as Engine 19 arrived with heavy smoke showing from the second floor and reports of subjects trapped on the third floor. Engine 19's first-in crew found heavy fire second floor and 19 command called for the second alarm. Crews got a handle on the fire quickly and it was under control in less than an hour. Engine 24 crew was on scene for about 1.5 hours. (photos credit Lans. Fire Co).

Our members wish to extend their condolences to the members of the Yeadon Fire Company on the sudden passing of Past Asst. Chief - Carl Monzo. Carl was a friend to many here and a big part of EMS in our area. Sending our thoughts and prayers for Carl, his family and friends.

10/14/20 Reminder, another event today beginning at 3 pm. East Lansdowne Borough will continue to distribute quantities of Food Boxes to residents every Wednesday in October. Boxes will be available for pickup at the Firehouse located at 164 Lexington Avenue beginning at 3pm.
