For the past two weeks, our office has slowly started the process of reopening to patient care. We began by asking our patients that were in need of medical eye care to return for the continuation of their care. Many chose to return immediately while others asked to be seen in the coming months. As the demand for our services has been increasing we have decided to return to operating under our normal office hours beginning on Monday May 18th. Our office hours are posted on our website, Facebook page, and Google page. As a reminder, we have implemented changes in our office procedures designed to enhance the safety of our patients and staff. These are listed for review in our last post. To our loyal patients we offer a hearty:

To our valued patients: Our office, like all medical offices, is classified as an essential business by the state of Pennsylvania. In mid-March, the CDC and the American Optometric Association recommended that eye care practitioners discontinue all routine eye examinations. For the past 7 weeks, we have been open on an as needed basis for urgent or emergency eye care only. However, we also recognize that many of our patients have chronic medical and/or eye care issues that ...Continue reading

Hello everyone. I hope you are all safe and healthy. I have seen several reports in the media recently regarding wearing contact lenses and the Coronavirus. Please note: There is currently no evidence to suggest that there is any increased risk of infection or contracting Coronavirus through contact lens wear. Remember to follow strict hygiene measures, such as thorough hand-washing, along with optimal wear and care procedures. These include replacing your lenses as prescrib...ed, case hygiene for reusable lenses and avoiding lens wear if you are unwell (in particular with any cold or flu-like symptoms). Avoid touching your eyes, especially in high risk environments, and remember to ask yourself these three questions each time you wear your lenses: Do my eyes feel good with my lenses? There should be no discomfort. Do my eyes look good? There should be no redness. Do I see well? There should be no unusual blurring with either eye. If you have any concerns, remove your contact lenses and call Dr. Hyman at 610-898-0888. I hope we are tuning the corner on this natural disaster and I hope to see you all soon.

UPDATE- As the community continues to suffer through the coronavirus epidemic, we at Elite Eyecare are committed to keeping our citizens safe while still providing urgent eye care as needed by our patients. The CDC issued a directive in mid-March that all routine eyecare be suspended immediately. In order to satisfy the directives of the local and federal governments to minimize travel and person to person contact we are now closing our office until the government and the CD...C lifts our restrictions. If you need to order contact lenses, please e-mail us at [email protected] or by phone at 610-898-0888 and we will gladly arrange a home delivery direct from the manufacturer with no shipping fees. We monitor our e-mail and voice mail on a regular basis and are always available to answer any questions you may have regarding our services. If you require emergency eye care services, please contact Dr. Hyman at 610-334-8258. Remember, we are all in this together and hopefully we will see you all soon when the restrictions are lifted.

As the community continues to suffer through the coronavirus epidemic, we at Elite Eyecare are committed to keeping our citizens safe while still providing urgent eye care as needed by our patients. The CDC has issued a directive this week that all routine eye care be suspended immediately. In order to satisfy the directives of the local and federal governments we are reducing our hours of operation to 9-4 Monday through Friday(closed Wednesday as usual) until the CDC lifts... our restrictions. During our office hours we will provide urgent eye care only with strict disinfectant protocol as per the government directive. Please call the office ahead of time if you need to pick up any previously ordered eyewear and we will gladly arrange curbside pickup. In addition, if you need to order contact lenses please contact us by phone and we will gladly arrange a home delivery direct from the manufacturer with no shipping fees. Remember, we are all in this together and hopefully we will see you all soon when the restrictions are lifted. If you need to reach Dr. Hyman after office hours please call 610-334-8258.
