If you knew Sister Denise, you have been blessed! She loved unconditionally and taught all of us to do the same. Sister Denise Mosier, OSB, who died in 2010, was a member of the Benedictine Community of St. Marys and later of Bristow, VA. She spent many years teaching in the Catholic Schools in St. Marys, Kersey, and Lucinda, PA, and as a missionary in Africa for eight years .During her lifetime, she was a spiritual director for both religious and laity. Sister Denise shared... her love for the African people with all who knew her. Her influence in Tanzania has led men to the priesthood and to careers as professionals and businessmen who are now doing great things for their communities. The Elk County Community Foundation administers the Sister Denise Mosier, O.S.B. Tuition Assistance for Oldonyo Sambu Catholic Seminary Fund. This fund allows us to show our appreciation for the influence Sister Denise has played in our lives. Donors can offer contributions in any amount to support the memory of Sister Denise, allowing her love and good works to continue to reach into the future.
