For this Mental Health Moment, we are taking the time to recognize Gabby, an intern with Bell’s Next Door Program, and the wonderful work she has been doing there. In the Fall, a group of agents at the West York Office of Homesale Realty held a food drive that benefitted Bell. They saw a need in the community and felt called to action. It’s FEEL GOOD Friday, time to CELEBRATE all that is good. Bill Swartz kindly gave us an update on his coast-to-coast bicycle ride for Bell, which has already raised over 14,000 dollars. Did you know that your CHANGE can make a BIG difference? When Weis Markets’ customers round up their orders at checkout, they’re donating to special causes. During the month of April, certain stores are ROUNDING UP with the proceeds benefiting Bell. The stores that are participating are Weis Markets on East Market Street, White Street, Roosevelt Ave, Carlisle Ave, Springwood Road, and Lombard Road in Red Lion. This is an easy way that your pocket change can be the change that our community needs. Support Bell, while picking up groceries, and choosing to ROUND UP.

Sweet dreams start with a comfy pillow. Right now at both Re-Source York locations, there are donation bins where you can drop off cozy brand new pillows. The pillows will go to different Bell programs. While speaking with Corey Wolfe, the Executive Director, he talked about the annual Bed Race, which is canceled this year, but fingers crossed it will be UP and RUNNING next year. He said, The partnership between Bell and Re-Source York is a full circle. The more that we gro...w the more we can give back to Bell. When groups are making a bed and coming up with a creative design they need supplies. They already know that they are helping out by participating in the fundraiser, but when they purchase their supplies here, a portion of the money is going back to Bell. Corey, added, There is so much opportunity between Bell and Re-Source York. It is partnerships like this that make INCREDIBLE things happen. When we work together anything is POSSIBLE, allowing us to reach, and to help so many more people. We are CHEERING ON Re-Source York for their continued support and grateful for their partnership. While we may not be RACING this year there are still ways to support Bell. The pillow drive is a GREAT way to ensure that the families, children, and individuals we help have a soft, fluffy pillow to lay their head on at night. On this last #ThankfulThursday of 2020 we give thanks to Bell board member, Leigh Ann Wilson's son, Nolan and to Rutter's for their selfless acts this holiday season. Nolan wanted to share comfort and joy over the holidays, so he handmade holiday cards and delivered them, along with packets of cocoa and iced sugar cookies to be shared with Bell Family Shelter families. Rutter's chose Bell as the recipient to receive $1,000 as part of their Secret Santa initiative. Every year ...they do a Secret Santa, and selected employees choose an organization to donate to. Bell was lucky enough to be chosen this year! Thank you, Nolan, for a very thoughtful and sweet gesture. We appreciate your kindness for thinking of others this holiday season! Thank you Rutter's for picking Bell and supporting our programs that empower lives every day! #ThankfulThursday

This was the message on Christmas care packages that were sent to consumers from the Sendero program during the holidays. They were able to have a little good cheer and peace during a challenging year, thanks to these care packages.

In the midst of a pandemic, Nicole knew leaving her home was going to be hard, but staying in an abusive relation felt much more dangerous than getting out of it.
