We plan on opening April 16th for movies and the flea market on the 18th. As of now that will be depending on the weather. If the weather doesn't cooperate then it will be the 23rd for sure. No idea what the movies will be yet.

A small treasure of a Horror anthology turns 37 1983’s NIGHTMARES is a quartet of horror tales directed by Joseph Sargent and written by Jeffery Bloom and Christopher Crowe. The film was originally to be a 2 hour pilot for a new television series but the producers decided to release it in theaters.... Three of the stories work pretty well, one doesn’t. Bishop of Battle," stars Emilio Estevez as a teenager who becomes so good at a video game that he actually becomes part of the game itself, a’la TRON. This segment is fun and creative. Night of the Rat," stars Richard Masur and Vernoica Cartwright as a couple who fight off a giant rat that has invaded their home. The story is full of dark humor and is quite exciting. Terror in Topanga" is a good one as well. Christina Raines is a woman who goes out for a late night pack of cigarettes. She drives to a gas station. On the radio is the story of a killer terrorizing the area. William Sanderson is the gas station attendant who fits the killer’s description. What follows is a tense and creepy thriller with a slam-bang ending. This one could be my favorite segment. The Benediction," shows little imagination and is rather dull. Lance Henriksen is a priest having a crisis of faith. On the road, there seems to be a black truck driven by a demon attacking him. This segment is certainly no DUEL. It’s okay but ultimately doesn’t work. NIGHTMARES is no classic but it is a small gem from a time when genre films had fun.
