Essington pools

Friends of Essington 19th September Essington Clean Today FOE organised the event after cancelling the March Village spring clean due to Covid-19. The event ha...d to be organised to eliminate mass gathering. To enable this, pre arranged groups of 5 persons were situated around the village. We thank all who participated today especially; * Scouts & Guides for the use of their grounds for storage of the collected rubbish to be taken away on Monday. * Hilton Main Construction for the use of their truck & driver Liam who was a great help. * Alveston’s Jamie Harper for collecting rubbish in Bursnips Road. * Essington Rugby Club collecting litter at their ground. * Street Scene for supplying gloves & bags and collecting the waste on Monday 21st The picture shows the total waste collected. It is with complete disbelief I have to share this post. The Antisocial Behaviour and vandalism seems to have continued and this is as low as it gets. To deface... a memorial plaque is despicable! If anyone has any information on who may have done this please get in touch, if the people responsible for these acts of vandalism are not reprimanded who knows what could be next. This bench is located at Essington pools.

Stirling work by the pools occasionals again this morning 1 path cleared and 2 new paths cut in the overgrown grass well done lads

well the rain that was forecast for this morning seems to be sunshine oh well that's the british weather for you hope to see you all on saturday lol

Due to bad weather this path job is postponed until Saturday.realy don't think we should be working in the rain and it's forcast to be better on Saturday thanks

The paths are now safe again thanks to Stafford shire rangers and their fast response to the dangers of the fallen trees.brilliant job well done

The dangerous trees are now roped off please don't duck under the rope as these trees are very dangerous

Trees down or almost down over the pools this morning blocking 2 of the paths so please don't try to get past them give them a wide berth.

Please take additonal care if out, falling trees can kill! The footpath between Brownshore Lane and New St through Essington pools is currently blocked!

LOST A CAR KEY? A car key has been found on the grass on the Wolverhampton Road/ Brownshore Lane bend near the finger post. If its yours please message the Page!

The pools occasionals are planning to clear the path from new street to the green and other paths if time allows.If you would like to help brushes and power tools are needed battery or petrol hedge trimmer or strimmers .meet by the benches over the green at 9 am on Friday 28 August thanks

A young lad caught this old girl the other day 21lb nice to see the younger fishermen looking after these big fish .this one was old enough to be the lads grandma lol
