When Annie Easley was at NASA, she was one of only four African Americans to work in the lab. Through her position as a human computer, she completed highly advanced analyses of problems and calculations by hand. Once technology advanced, she learned to program computers. I am not much of a Resolution type of a person. Rather I believe in Goals. Resolution lacks commitment. Resolution is more like I would like to rather than I am going to, I don’t care if the whole world comes to an end in the process. So, with that said SMART GOALS? Yes indeed. My team and I, just got done setting our quarterly goals. Annual goals broken down in to quarterly action items, broken down in to weekly, daily to do’s. We call it ROCKS, nothing original. ... I am sure you all heard the story about the Rocks, pebbles and sand. And we have our ROCKS. My personal ROCK this year is to read more books. I average about 5 to 6 books a year. I am upping my game this year to 12. One book a month. For January I am about to finish Dare to Lead by Brene Brown. I am an old fashion reader. No tablet, actual book in one hand and a highlighter on the other. And a lots of thought process in between highlights. -Fusun Bubernack, President ET&T
