Happy Wednesday Federated Family!! Matthew 26:41 "Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak."... One of the reasons our prayer life declines is that "Our flesh is weak". Too often we use this as an excuse for when we fail, but we need to remember this is a warning to us and not an excuse! People will overcome their flesh for what they feel is important! Do you feel your relationship with God is important enough to overcome your flesh? WATCH AND PRAY!! There is still one more chance to join at the Church and pray from 6:30-7:30 PM!

Praise God that he made away for us to be forgiven. As followers of Christ, we will continue to commit acts of sin but we are called mourn. Those who mourn have what John Piper calls gutsy guilt. It's an attitude of constantly seeking the Lord's forgiveness for our sin so that we may be forgiven. The forgiveness we seek isn't because our salvation is at risk but to repair our relation intimacy with God. Those who mourn are promised comfort here and now in the Lord and one day as Revelations reminds us we will mourn no longer.

How can we live in a broken world with the peace that passes all understanding? It's when we come to understand that we have nothing to offer God. We who are poor in Spirit recognize that it's because of Christ and his work on the cross that we have peace with the creator of the universe. How should we respond to this good news? Praise him, worship him because he has called his followers blessed.

We had an awesome day playing airsoft. Josh shared how we can only find fulfillment in the one who created us. We want to thank the Pettis crew for hosting and all those we helped make this day happen. Until the next battle

Federated Family....let's all participate with God in His rescue efforts by putting these three words into action: -PRAY...."Devote yourselves to prayer...pray that god may open a door for our message" (Col.4:2-3) We talk to God about people before we talk to people about God! -LIVE...."But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord.."(1 Peter 3:15). If Jesus is set apart as LORD in our hearts it will overflow in our living. One of the greatest evangelistic tools we have is our ...LIFE! SPEAK..."Always be prepared to give an answer for the hope you have" (1 Peter 3:15) Push past your fear and be ready to share your story...how you were called out of darkness into His light! (1 Peter 2:9) Jesus was always looking to rescue people and extend an invitation for someone to leave their current "empty" life and follow Him! https://www.dropbox.com/s/reydiybu7s7i/tax%20collector.mp4 See more

Federated Family...God's chosen and called out people will be living in a very polarized culture this week...here's some ways we can respond: -"Show proper respect to everyone" (1 Peter 2:17)...try not assuming you know everything about everyone and learn to ask good questions to increase your understanding ("I'm curious to understand how you came to believe what you do?") -Practice "self-control" (you will need the Holy Spirit's help!)..."Be self-controlled and PRAY" (1 Pete...r 4:7) -"Love deeply"---to the extent that your love might cover those who sin against you (1 Peter 4:8)! -Remember your supreme example--"To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that YOU should follow in His steps." (1 Peter 2:21) So Federated Church..."Whatever happens (we can't control how others treat us!), conduct yourselves in a manner WORTHY of the Gospel." (Philippians 1:27) See more

"Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe." (Prov.29:25) What is primarily on your mind---what is the SOURCE of what is on your mind---what is it producing in you (greater fear or greater faith)? True courage is not an act of character; it is an act of FAITH...faith in the character of God! Starve your fears---feed your faith today! "Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who finds great delight in His commands. He will have no fear of bad news; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord. His heart is SECURE, he will have no fear..."(Psa. 112:1, 7-8)

Federated Family, Remember to FEED your faith and STARVE your fears as you begin your week! Sift through and eliminate all those things that seem to only produce fear driven thoughts and behaviors and feed your faith through the reading of God's Word, acknowledging your fears and taking them to God through prayer, and being in fellowship with other believers! Keep FAITH in the driver's seat of your heart! "Fear not, for I am with you: be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand."(Isa. 41:10)
