First Christian Church 14.04.2021

Sunday, May 2, join us for a mission trip to Shepherd's Heart ministry to the homeless in Pittsburgh. We will meet at the church at 3:30 pm. We are bringing 75 meals. When we arrive they will give us a tour of the ministry, then we'll join them for a worship service (5:15), then we'll provide the dinner. We are also bringing to them underwear and sweat pants/shirts. Come see what God is doing through this ministry.

First Christian Church 15.12.2020

Dear Friends and Members of First Christian Church: Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We want to wish you a Merry Christmas. We have decided after much careful discussion that it is time to carefully reopen the church. On Sunday, December 13th there will be Sunday school for adults at 9am.There is no children’s programming December 13th. Kids are welcome to stay in the service with their families. Even though the coronavirus is spreading in the commun...ity all around us, we want to give people the option. Those who want to stay at home, we encourage them to join us on-line. For those who would like to gather, we will meet back in the church and for now, require that you wear a mask unless for some health reason you can’t. We will re-evaluate the situation in two weeks. Join us in the sanctuary if you feel comfortable. The Sunday morning worship service will be available on both YouTube and Facebook at 10 am. We will have two Christmas Eve services (at 6 pm Family Service and 9 pm Traditional). Victor Correa is coming on staff on Dec. 16. All other in-person small groups are welcome to meet at the church at their leader’s discretion. We encourage you to make phone calls and reach out to others who may feel isolated. We also ask you to pray. Pray for our nation and our world as we long for an end to this pandemic. Pray for those who are sick. Pray for the vaccine to be distributed and to be effective. Pray for our church to care for people. Thank you for your patience and support during these unusual time. We know that Christmas is a time to celebrate and in spite of what’s going on, we can celebrate the coming of Jesus. Don’t let the virus dampen your joy as we think of God’s love and his gift of Jesus. The Elders of First Christian Church
