ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT POSITION AVAILABLE BEGINNING JUNE 1, 2021 A part time position of Administrative Assistant for the First United Methodist Church of Re...ynoldsville, 504 Jackson Street, Reynoldsville, PA, will be available beginning on June 1, 2021, following the relocation of our current Administrative Assistant. The successful candidate will have familiarity with a variety of computer software applications, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite and have knowledge and familiarity with internet utilization. The successful candidate must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times, will exhibit a gracious and hospitable persona on the phone and in person, and will be able to work with flexibility in a dynamic atmosphere. Approximately 80 hours per month and a starting annual salary $9,890. Applications and Job Descriptions are available in the church office from either the Pastor or the Administrative Assistant. Our church participates in the Helping Hands Food Pantry, located in the parking lot of Trinity Lutheran Church at the corner of Jackson & 4th Streets in Reynoldsville, PA. the food pantry assists low income households in the Reynoldsville & Sykesville zip code areas. The food pantry's hours are: Wednesday, 10:00--11:00 am Friday, 1:30--2:30 pm FIRST Saturday of the month, 10:00--11:00 am... CLOSED the LAST Wednesday and LAST Friday of every month. Your first visit to the food pantry, please bring verification of address and income.

The fourth Sunday in Advent, December 20, we will celebrate with a Carol Sing as our worship service. This will be much like the Hymn Sing we did in August, in that we are inviting all of you to name your favorite Advent and Christmas hymns and to send your requests to Leah or to the pastor by Sunday, December 13. These will then be woven together with a variety of readings of scripture to create our Carol Sing.
