A year ago today, we shut our doors not knowing what the future might hold. The next day, we started recording videos for our on demand library, thinking it would only be for a few weeks. To date, this amazing community has taken over 6,000 on-demand classes. To say we’re impressed, humbled, and grateful would be an understatement. Through livestream classes and recorded videos, we stayed connected as a community. You showed up and kept showing up for yourselves, and for us,... and that is what community is all about. Over the past year, we’ve supported, motivated, and empowered each other. Although we’re not quite out of the woods yet, we know we could not have made it this far without you. Focus Barre & Yoga has joined forces with other fitness providers to form the Philadelphia Fitness Coalition. Together we are asking the City to allow gyms and fitness studios to remain open with restrictions and protocols. We are also lobbying for a lifeline of financial support so we can sustain. Your health and safety have always been our number one priority, we believe that this virus is very real, and we strongly believe that there needs to be strict standards that all ...fitness studios and gyms have to adhere to in order to continue operations. With over 260,000 studio and gym visits since we were allowed to reopen in July, there have been only 30 total reported cases, and 0 reported transmissions. We have the data to back this up, safe studios and gyms are not the problem. We ask that you sign our petition to keep local studios open and supply funding for our businesses. Thank you so much to the entire Focus community that has kept us going strong and brought us so much positive energy during the last 8 months! While we’ve worked hard to keep everyone safe as we transitioned back to in-studio classes, we, once again, need to hit the pause button on in-studio classes in accordance with Philadelphia’s newest restrictions. We’ll be transitioning back to livestream and outdoor only classes through the end of 2020. We’ll miss seeing you in the studio, but you can catch us for livestream classes, outdoor classes and we’ll still be here for you any time with our on demand video library! Focus Barre and Yoga family, we are sad to say that we have made the very difficult decision to close the studio as of tomorrow, 3/17. Our plan is to re-open Saturday 3/28 but we will of course keep you posted with any updates. All memberships will be paused and class packs extended.
