At 4:46 this afternoon, tones dropped alerting box 8-01(Marion) for a Garage Fire in the 3900blk of Molly Pitcher Highway South. Eng 43 w/6 & Eng 45 w/4 arrived with Co.8 finding a 30x50 detached garage with smoke showing. Both engines sent their crews forward to assist with opening up to find the fire. Crews located fire running the walls and in the ceiling, which apparently started at the wood stove. Units operated for approx 30 mins before returning.

7:45am Lincoln Way East @ Quarry Rd Vehicle Accident... Sta 4 and EMS units arrived finding a single vehicle that had struck a utility pole and rolled several times. The squad crew found 1 patient inside needing extrication. The B team stabilized the vehicle while the A team prepared for a door pop using the Holmatro - Rescue Tools and Extrication Equipment. The door popped and the patient was removed for EMS. Crews remained on scene clearing debris and securing the vehicle. Fire Police assisted with traffic control for the duration of the incident.

3:51 415 E Queen St Chambersburg @ Rite Aid Auto Accident w/ Entrapment... Squad 41 responded to assist Co.1 Chambersburg finding 2 vehicles in the roadway and 1 on the sidewalk with multiple injuries. No patients required extrication but Squad 41 remained on scene and provided patient care until additional EMS units could arrive.

17:34 Squad 41 responded for an auto accident w/ Entrapment on Norland Ave at the Railroad bridge in Chambersburg. Crews located 2 vehicles head-on with 1 requiring extrication. Once free from the vehicle, the patient was turned over to EMS for transport.

8 runs keep the Green busy for Christmas Eve 2020! Squad 41 w/5 responded on box 3-17(Greencastle) for a reported building fire on Grindstone Hill Rd. Crews found fire from a woodstove with extension to the floor. Just before 11pm, Sta 4 and EMS units responded to Sunset Pike & Philadelphia Ave for an auto accident. Crew arrived finding one patient trapped in the car. Crews stabilized the vehicle then went to work with the battery powered Holmatro - Rescue Tools and Extrication Equipment. Crews removed both passenger side doors to access the patient who was then turned over to EMS.

Sta 4 and multiple EMS units currently responding to the 200blk of Warm Spring Rd for an Auto Accident w/ people trapped *Update* Squad 41 & E43 on the scene confirming entrapment. AC49 Winklbauer assuming the Rescue Group Supervisor. Chief 46 Trace & K9 Blaze assuming command. Eng 45, SU-44 and FP also responding!... Squad 41 removed 1 door to extricate a driver. A total of 4 patients were turned over to EMS.

Monday Night Drill! Members spent the evening at our acquired structure running scenarios. Capt Ranck worked with members on stretching our long lines and maneuvering inside structures. Showing the importance of EVERYONE having their hands on the line and how efficiently a line can be placed if everyone helps move it. The 1st line in the door is going to make or break a fireground, so it must get in place and in service as soon as possible! ... Chief Trace worked with members on emergency bail out techniques. A skill we hope to never use but a skill we need to know how to perform...and properly!

Squad 41, E43 & Fire Police were out for the 2nd time today. This time it was Lincoln Way West @ Burger King for a 2 vehicle collision. Crews found the vehicles nearly head on blocking the road and a few requesting EMS. Crews controlled a fluid leak, cleared debris and handled traffic control while EMS tended to their patients.

The Franklin Fire Co extends our deepest condolences to the friends & family of Adam McNew. Adam suffered a medical emergency while on-duty at the Franklin County Dept of Emergency Services, where he was a full-time 911 dispatcher. He was well known throughout the area, volunteering his time at local FD’s. He most recently acted as the Deputy Fire Chief of the Saint Thomas Twp Vol Fire Company. In our thoughts & prayers! May he rest in peace!

A box of about 34lbs worth of food including one gallon of milk along with an assortment of dairy, produce and meat items will be included. Each vehicle will receive one box.
