Although much of the northern half of the commonwealth is fading or past peak, vivid fall color has arrived in the south. Dazzling autumn scenery can be foun...d from the central and southern Appalachians to the south-Pocono region. Fantastic fall hues are also on display from the Lehigh Valley to South Mountain, extending eastward into the lower Delaware Valley. With the fall foliage season progressing into its latter stages, the time is now to get out and enjoy some awe-inspiring, late season fall color in Penn’s Woods! Spectacular autumn color persists throughout the commonwealth this coming week! From the northwest to the central Appalachians and Laurel Highlands to the Po...conos, incredible fall scenery awaits. Cold nights in the forecast this weekend will likely snap southeastern forests into vivid color soon. With below average temperatures expected next week, the outlook for fall color remains outstanding for the commonwealth. Another community in Montgomery County will be voting on an Open Space Referendum during this year's Election. We want Worcester voters to be given the same chance to weigh in on the issue of Open Space, and will be looking ahead to make sure this can happen during the nearest Election when it makes sense to do so https://www.pottsmerc.com//article_1941328c-0cca-11eb-b6c5

Gorgeous color continues to abound throughout Penn’s Woods! While some northern counties have begun to fade, central forests are now stealing the show. Aweso...me color can be found from northwestern Pennsylvania through the Alleghenies and central Appalachians, to the Pocono region. Forecasted seasonable temperatures should facilitate a gradual transition of color throughout southern areas of the commonwealth for fantastic viewing opportunities into late October. In a few weeks, residents in Lower Frederick Township (Western Montgomery County) will vote on an Open Space Referendum during the November 3rd Election, which if approved, would establish a dedicated fund to preserve open space in the Township. You can review the official Lower Frederick Ballot Question text to get a sense of how their question is written . We believe that residents of Worcester also deserve an opportunity to weigh in on the issue of an Open Space Referen...dum. The Worcester Supervisors considered putting a Referendum question on the ballot until COVID19. We will continue to encourage them to put an Open Space Referendum question on our ballot, when it makes sense to do so.
