Hi all! We are certain you have been anxious for more updates on the gym progress. After all, we are all itching to have a place to climb here in our backyard, right? We certainly are, which is why we put so much work (and quite a bit of money) into developing a bouldering gym for our community. In the midst of our efforts, an entity reached out to us to let us know that a climbing gym is already in the works for Erie. It is being developed by an established gym that is worki...ng with a prominent development group. In short, they are more well-funded than we are and can provide more amenities than we could offer at this time. So what do we plan to do moving forward? We will continue to work on growing and strengthening the climbing community in Erie. We will plan trips to nearby gyms and outdoor locations. We are going to start writing reviews of gyms for those who may want to check them out on their own. We will share articles about the climbing industry, as well as tips and advice for staying healthy and climbing your best. We will also push the other gym to create the best experience possible for Erie, because we deserve a great place to climb. We expect to serve at least in some advisory capacity, so we can take your hopes and ideas directly to the people in charge. And we aren't going anywhere. If something falls through, or it becomes obvious that Erie can support multiple climbing gyms, we are prepared to continue our mission of bringing community-oriented bouldering to Erie.
