Yesterday was incredible on so many levels. We had an amazing time with @imperfectgallery and our neighbors. It was a powerful and historic day filled with community and music and art. Hi Neighbors. Sadly we must close the shop tomorrow until our team is able to get our COVID -19 test results back. No one is experiencing symptoms and at this time. We all seem healthy, but someone who is inside our COVID-19 bubble has confirmed that they may have been exposed to someone that HAS tested positive. We do not know if the person we have been in contact with is positive as well, but we are trying to operate our business with the utmost safety during this pandemic ...and do not want to risk exposing more neighbors to the virus. With heavy hearts we are closing the shop for the remainder of the day. This morning many of us woke up to the news of a tragedy in our neighborhood. When we arrived to open the shop early today we learned that the area is roped off as an active crime scene. Sadly there was an event that happened on and around our street that resulted in the deaths of two people. This is something we wish would never happen but, it is the reality that we live in and we must face it and act in... ways to prevent these types of things from happening in the future. We will be taking the rest of the day to reflect and to send our best wishes and prayers to the families, loved ones, and witnesses who are going through this. Our city is mourning during a year of increased violence and bloodshed. We are holding all victims, survivors, and their families in the light. We strive for, hope for, and know that change is possible. Change rooted in love and justice. We love you Germantown. Please be safe, and we will be back at the shop tomorrow. See more
