APPRISE is the Pennsylvania State Health Insurance Assistance Program. APPRISE volunteers are specially trained to answer your questions about Medicare, Medicaid, Medigap, prescription drugs, preventive care, and to assist you with your paperwork. The counselors have direct access to State and Federal Medicare information and resources. Currently, all appointments are being conducted over the phone or virtually. Broadband project continues on Heritage Rail Trail: Construction crews continue to proof conduit, install vaults, and pull fiber along portions of the Heritage ...Rail Trail as part of the County of York’s broadband pilot project. Crews are active in the areas between Hanover Junction, Glen Rock, and Railroad. Beginning December 31, crews will also be active on the short, paved section of trail from Rt. 616 and Owengary Lane. No trail closures are anticipated at this time, but trail users should use caution when approaching construction crews or portions of the trail marked with cones, flagging, or cautionary signage.

Collection Update: Christmas Day Christmas Day Collection Schedule: Friday, December 25th, 2020 Due to the Christmas Day holiday, all residential Penn Waste routes will be delayed one (1) day. Friday customers (Glen Rock) will be collected on Saturday. All other customers will be serviced on their regularly scheduled collection day. Finding a place to park during a Snow Emergency can be a challenge. If you park in a private parking lot (business, church, etc.), you must get permission! Ask in advance! Also, don't be disrespectful by leaving your vehicle longer than needed. Vehicles left well past the Snow Emergency hinder local business/church activity and may be ticketed or towed!
