Meet Mary Jayne, our CEO! "I'm the Founder and CEO of Global Wordsmiths, which means I do everything within my power and ability to advance our mission and grow our company. This can be anything from going after RFPs and bidding on contracts, handling the finances, and overseeing Global Wordsmiths' daily operations, to building relationships with stakeholders and advancing our social impact work. Really, I do anything it takes to ensure our success and the well-being of ou...r team." Q: What's the best thing about your job? A: Everything! I'm so lucky to be able to do something I love so much and feel so passionately about as a job. If I had to pick, though, I would say that using our resources to generate lasting social impact, meeting and working with wonderful people from all over the world, and interacting with The Best Team stand out as particularly joyful. Q: What's your favorite food or meal? A: Ethiopian food, gorditas from the markets of Mexico City, and good sushi. Q: Your top 3 favorite books or podcasts? A: Top three books of 2020 so far are: "How to be an Antiracist," "10 Minutes 38 Seconds in This Strange World," and "Heavy: An American Memoir." Q: What is your favorite way to spend the weekend? A: Up before sunrise, long walks alone in the woods, lots of snuggles and playtime with my kids, and having solo time to read, embroider, and relax. #MeettheTeamMonday
