13 years ago, a young woman was hit by a drunk driver. A Chester County jury awarded her 6.8 million dollars. Rather than simply pay up, the irresponsible bar, and the companies behind it, moved their assets around to prevent that judgment from being collected. Yesterday, attorney Joel Goldberg appeared before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, advocating why the companies involved should be forced to pay, and why Pennsylvania law cannot allow unjust business practices stand. The arc of the moral universe is long, but we believe it bends toward justice. We'll fight every step of the way for it.
