Due to the uncertainty in the weather conditions for Thursday, April 29th the GCCC has decided to make the upcoming outdoor presentation with Jill Kaylor from Visiting Angels: "Scams: what to look for and what to know", a virtual on Facebook only event. Thank you for your understanding as we never know what to expect with outdoor classes. Hope you take a moment to view this event as we expect vital information to be shared on how to protect ourselves in this ever changing technological world.

Make your own initial pillow! What you will Need: Old t-shirt... Scissors Fabric Glue Binder Clips or Clothespins Stuffing from an old pillow or pillow batting Felt (two colors of your choice) Straight Pins Instructions: 1. Lay T-shirt on a flat surface. Cut off the top half of the t-shirt. The bottom half will become the pillowcase. Discard top half. 2. Close up one side of the pillowcase by gluing the hemmed bottom edge of the T-shirt together with fabric glue. Bind with clips until dry. 3. Turn pillowcase inside out. Glue top edge together, leaving a 3 inch opening at one corner. Bind with clips until dry. 4. Turn pillowcase right-side out and stuff with pillow batting until pillow is firm. 5. Use glue to neatly seal the 3 inch opening. Bind with clips until dry. 6. To make felt letters, measure the height of the pillow. You want to create a letter template that is 2 inches shorter than the pillow. You can draw your letter on paper or create one using a computer. 7. To cut out the letter, pin your letter template to the felt in at least five spots. Then cut out the letter from the felt. Repeat steps 6 and 7 to make the same letter in another felt color 8. Glue the two felt letters together, positioning the second letter about 1 inch below the top letter. 9. Center the double letter on the pillow and attach with glue.
