Warminster Township Republican Committee

We are less than 12 hours from a township special meeting tonight where the supervisors will terminate the current manager and appoint an interim manager. There is still no agenda. The chairman of the board asked the manager to resign on Friday. We also expect that former Bristol Township Manager Bill McCauley to be a leading candidate to be interim manager. But we do not know what else will be discussed because the board does not want to give people advance notice. Remember ...they asked for the resignation on Friday but did not announce the meeting until yesterday. So much for transparency. We call on the township to release the agenda as soon as possible so people have time to see if they want to participate in the meeting. Besides the manager, what else is happening? Will they be changing the budget? Are any other changes being made? The supervisors may believe they have the right to deny information for as long as possible to the public but it is clear that the board does not like to face questions. As the Washington Post likes to say - Democracy Dies in the Darkness. If that is true it is midnight in Warminster.
