The presentation will have a focus on the various historic cemeteries in and around Marietta and where the early residents of the borough interred their loved... ones. He worked for the Pennsylvania Historical & Museum Commission fo...r 22 years. This meeting is free and open to the public. This site is known to Grave Concern Inc as the Mayer-Hess Cemetery, just off Fruitville Pike in the Belmont Center. It was maintained privately for some years by the late Carol Gadbois, a Board Member of Grave Concern

Wednesday, June 21, 7:00 PM at the Lancaster County Mennonite Historical Society, 2215 Millstream Road, Lancaster, PA entitled: President Buchanan’s Last Haircut The program is presented to Grave Concern by Patrick Clarke who is the director of President Buchanan’s Wheatland Estate. All the details have not been fully worked out yet, but here is a heads-up. On June 24th at 9AM, there will be a beginner level class on cleaning and resetting headstones at the Wineland Grove Cemetery in Herminie, PA. Once everything is finalized, I will post the complete information.
