Legendary Major League Baseball player Henry Louis 'Hank' Aaron has passed away at 86. Inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1982, Aaron finished his career with 755 home runs, making him baseball's 'home run king' for 33 years (Barry Bonds surpassed his total in 2007). Aaron started his professional career in 1952 in the Negro League and joined the MLB is 1954. Throughout his career, his pursuit of Babe Ruth's home run record subjected him to horrendous racism and even death threats from many baseball fans. After retiring, he joined the Atlanta Braves as one of baseball's first Black executives. Aaron was revered in both his career and his retirement as a paragon of grace and humility in sports. According to the Hall of Fame, Muhammad Ali once said Hank Aaron was 'the only man I idolize more than myself.'
