The Green Front

Today would have been the start of our busiest time of the year. It saddens us to not be apart of another Lenten fish fry, however we are overjoyed with the memories we were able to share with you all throughout the years. Below are some photos of some of the last moments we shared with you all at the Green Front. We will keep the page open to check in with you all over time. Thanks again for 40 years.

We spoke with KDKA-TV | CBS Pittsburgh about our decision to retire. Thank you for being vital part of our family for the last 40 years.

Dear family and friends: It comes with a heavy heart to announce tomorrow, February 16th, 2020, will be our last day of business. While it was the most difficult decision, it was the right decision our family had to make. We won’t forget the customers, old and new, who we considered family by helping us create beautiful memories that we will forever cherish. Everyone was welcome at the Green Front and making our customers feel at home was always our goal. We hope to have ser...ved the community well and will miss seeing everyone for Friday dinner and drinks or Sunday brunch. We take pride in knowing we were one of the only steel mill bars left on Carson and are thankful for the longevity we were given (almost 40 years!) by the community. Thank you for voting us Best Fish Sandwich year after year, a title we will forever boast about. When the building sells, we hope the new owners of the building find success and only hope they can create a business and have a clientele as special as the Green Front. We invite all of our friends and family to stop by one last time tomorrow to help us celebrate a South Side icon (while supplies last). We will be open normal business hours from 8:30am-close. You will all forever be apart of our fiamily. Cheers.
