So as we move into the hectic last two weeks before Christmas, here is an update on our remaining grooming availability. We have some grooming appointments available the week of Mon. Dec. 14 thru Sun. Dec. 20 and Mon. Dec. 21 thru Wed. Dec. 23. We are most grateful for many calls each day, but those lessen availability. We suggest you call and leave a message and we will return your call regarding dates and availability. We look forward to hearing from you as we attempt to get every last fur baby groomed for the holiday. After all, each does deserve it, especially this year.

The story was terrific in explaining problems groomers being shut down 70 days caused to pets. Many believe we should not have closed for more than 2 months. So, it's been a very very busy 45 days or so since we re-opened on May 29. You have asked us to keep you updated on the progress of our scheduling ... so we are doing so here. It is Monday, July 13, and we are virtually caught up with our scheduling backlog!! We are almost completely booked this week, but we have plenty of openings for next week - Tuesday, July 21 thru Saturday, July 25. Of course, that is as we write this on Monday, July 13 ... it is subject to change as... scheduling appointment calls come in. But we have caught up from the terrific backlog we experienced upon re-opening so call us today before appointments are gone. We will return your messages from our cell phones. Well, Happy Fourth of July!! For how disruptive and contentious 2020 has been to date, please take a moment to respect this holiday for whatever freedoms it represents to you and to others and please be considerate as you do so. As for Groomingdell's, we have significantly cut into the scheduling backlog that faced us when we re-opened on May 29! We have somewhat caught up and have openings within the next week or two or so. As we head toward a month since re-opening for groomings-only on May 29, we again thank our wonderful and loyal clients for their patience. We continue to be backlogged in scheduling, but we are making more progress each day. Seventy days of mandated closure by the governor does not get caught up quickly enough. We thank you greatly for adhering to the social distancing rules we have adopted and for understanding groomings may take a little longer given today's circumstances. Groomingdell's re-opened for pet groomings only on May 29 after being shut 70 days due to coronavirus. We're finding the pets' moods are much more upbeat and chipper after their long-awaited groomings, an indication to us they surely know the difference. We are so so happy to see all our furry friends and their hoomans again! Be patient, we'll get everyone in ASAP!! Some important notes since we reopened: ---- We will NOT be doing walk-in nails as in the past. Space proh...ibits ---- Of course, nails will be clipped/ground with all groomings ---- Walk-in nails may re-start later in the Fall ... blame coronavirus ---- You MUST wear a mask inside the building. Staff will too ---- We will be too busy to answer phone ... sorry about that ---- Leave a message and we will return your call ASAP ... perhaps p.m. ---- Please be patient, we're all in this TOGETHER! ---- Our place has been completely sanitized ---- We will repeatedly wipe down all areas throughout the day ---- Only one customer allowed inside waiting area at a time ---- Thank you for your sincere loyalty. It took 70 days of forced closure, but the re-opening is near. Groomingdell's will re-open for groomings this Friday, May 29. We had been taking names for clients when we re-open and have been calling those on the waiting list since yesterday morning .... in the order we received their calls. PLEASE PLEASE BE PATIENT! This list grew over 2 months and we are working non-stop to return your calls and to get your sweet pets scheduled! We will continue to do this including to...morrow and until it is completed in the fairest method possible. Many of these calls will originate from our cell phones, please answer. We have anxiously been trying to reach each and every of the numbers left on the message machine over 70 days. There will be a few small procedural changes necessary when we re-open and they will be explained as we make your appointments. You must wear a mask!!!! Another necessary change is we will not be doing walk-in nails during the day while grooming for the time being. We are looking at how to schedule nail clipping/grinding during a prescribed time, possibly after 6 p.m. We will make that announcement in the near future here and notify those who left their number regarding nails. To our loyal customer base: Thank you most sincerely for sticking with us. Despite disagreeing with the premise that any groomers needed to shut down, we followed orders and so did our fabulous clients. We presume we'll see shaggier and dirtier pets in the next few months, but we love every one of them and they'll be welcome here as they always are. So here it is Saturday, April 25, 2020, and it has been well over a month since we've been shut down by the Coronavirus and the Governor's subsequent quarantine orders. We are shut down by order; any groomer operating is committing a criminal offense. As people phone our business in volumes each day to be put on the waiting list for when we re-open (which we have been compiling since March 19), we begin to see at least a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel. We cannot... wait to re-open; with so many of our customers' beloved pets out there needing groomings, we are as frustrated as you. Please be understanding and compliant, the moment we are allowed to open back up we will, with necessary safety precautions in place. Until then, please be patient and continue to take good care of each other and our furry friends .... just a little while longer. Prayers go out to everyone to be safe. We'll be together again soon! URGENT - 3/19/2020 - 7:20 p.m. Given the governor's proclamation today 3/19/2020 that only life-sustaining businesses may remain open after 8 p.m. 3/19/2020, Groomingdell's will be closed until further word from the governor. (That goes for all grooming businesses in the state, it being a crime to remain open.) We will reach out to those with appointments in the near future to reaffirm this message by phone. We regret this inconvenience, but it is obviously out of our cont...rol. Those who have made appointments with us for the near future and must be postponed, we will call you upon word of re-opening. We will also update our status on this Facebook page as it changes. Thank you for your understanding and your business, we so appreciate both.
