Martin Law is proud to support Hampden Youth Baseball Association Youth sports are engaging and a great way to learn about determination, sportsmanship, and life skills while having fun. That’s why we, at Martin Law, support Example Little League and their mission to bring youth sports to the community. Participating in youth sports at an early age, children will develop values such as safety and respect that will help them grow as people making youth sports a practice field... for the future. No matter how much you practice safety, accidents will happen at work. When injuries occur, workers have the right to workers’ compensation benefits. At Martin Law, we treat injured workers with dignity and respect. We have been protecting injured workers for over 40 years and will continue to fight the workers’ compensation benefits that they deserve.

Last week I got emails from the township regarding people on the fields practicing, and I need to be 100% clear on this. ***No, none, nothing that even resembles a practice can be happening on the fields.*** A Dad/Mom and their son(s) - OK. Now a groups of kids (3 or more) hitting around with a dad or coach is not allowed; anything in the slightest way looking like a practice is a NO GO.... Mr. Erno was clear that the fields are closed to organized athletics and they are checking. If any of you are approached or asked about our fields they are closed and can't be used for any organized sports. Even though we are signed for the fields when they see a group, they think is practicing, they figure it is HYBA and does not reflect good on us. Trust me I get it, we all want out and play ball, be active, but in the end the township owns the fields and we could lose the use of it for 2020. - David Maceiko, HYBA President

HYBA Families, Just want to provide an update as we are inching towards May. As a youth baseball league we are well aware of where we fall in the State and CDC guidelines for large gatherings, pretty much last to get cleared as we move thru this process of re-opening the State. So we are working closely with Little League leadership, the West Shore Teener League, and our Township officials in making the best decisions as we plan out our spring league. At this point we are ...still hoping to have a baseball season should we be cleared to go on the fields. We feel that it is best to go week by week before making any decisions on our spring season since one of the great aspects of baseball is that it affords us the opportunity to play well into June, and with tournament season afterwards we can play well into July. Please know that we will always take the health and safety of our players and volunteers seriously, and will do our best to foster an environment that promotes this at our baseball complex. These are uncharted waters we are all navigating and be assured it is for us in the world of recreational baseball. If at anytime you have any question or concerns, feel free to email our association at [email protected] and we will do our best to address them. Thank you for you patience and understanding as we work through the daily changes of information that come our way during these different and trying times, and please know we hope one day to hear those words that we all want to hear, Play Ball! Respectfully, David D. Maceiko HYBA President
