#cometogetherrightnow6feetapart, #susquehannastrong Effective at the end of the business day Thursday, March 19th we will be closed for an unknown period of time. I am closely monitoring the CDC, WHO, and PA Department of Health recommendations regarding measures to help mitigate the spread of the coronavirus, COVID-19. This is an extremely difficult choice I have had to make on many levels. Clearly this decision brings a concerning financial hardship for me as a very sma...ll, local business and not one that my husband and I have taken lightly; So let me be clear when I say that I am not here to judge any other small, local business owners when making extremely difficult decisions in this extraordinary time. Most importantly, I am committed to promoting the health and wellness of my family, patients, and community. After discussions with many patients the last few days, I am humbled and honored to have been able to help so many of you overcome various ailments and to be considered an essential part of your medical team and I look forward to continuing this role in the future. However, after diligent and constant daily research, I believe that in the interest of humanity and to decrease suffering, that social distancing need be taken seriously. Luckily, no one here yet knows the heartache that follows triage and hopefully, with the appropriate measures, we will wake for thousands of tomorrows and still not know that heartache. As per my previous post, I am still available for phone consultations if you have questions about continuing or starting Chinese herbal medicine or for specifics on how lifestyle changes may be able to help you. Additionally, please contact me if you are anticipating needing an appointment when the clinic reopens so that I can put you on the waiting list. Thank you all for your support and understanding. Warmly, Julie

COVID-19 As you are all aware, my clinic has always been open to those that are acutely ill, because Chinese medicine can help to mitigate illness and treat in a way that biomedicine does not. While we are fortunate to currently have no known cases in Susquehanna County, because of the serious nature of COVID-19 and in a real effort to protect the many patients that have underlying conditions which puts them at risk of developing serious complications and even death from thi...s virus, we are requesting the following: 1. If you are sick or even feel like you are getting sick, please cancel or simply do not come to your appointment. (This means that for the foreseeable future, the missed appointment policy no longer applies.) 2. Upon arrival to the clinic please step immediately inside the bathroom and wash your hands 3. If you have recently travelled to an area where coronavirus is prevalent or believe you may have been exposed please allow yourself a two week period before resuming treatments. 4. If you’re feeling well come for an acupuncture treatment!! Acupuncture helps to boost the immune system and decrease stress levels, which will help keep you well. Additionally, there are plenty of self-care techniques that we should all be practicing every day: 1. Eat a healthy, whole food based diet and drink plenty of water 2. Engage in moderate exercise - get some fresh air! 3. Get plenty of sleep 4. Keep stress levels at a manageable level The goal here is to protect everyone. If you are sick, I am more than happy to consult with you via phone if you have more specific questions as to how Chinese herbal medicine or lifestyle changes may be able to help you. Thank you for your understanding and thoughtfulness for others during this unusual time. Warmly, Julie
