He was beaten and bruised, nails through His hands, Hung on the cross with a gash at his side, And even then it was "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do" that Jesus cried. Wow. What a Saviour. ... The earth, it shook and rattled For three hours, darkness loomed He was taken from the cross, wrapped in cloth and buried in a tomb. Oh, but three days later... The tomb is open, His body is gone. "Do not be afraid" Was the angel's song, "FOR HE IS RISEN!" Death where is your sting? Oh, darkness is defeated!
