It might be a little intense out there, but we can still practice gratitude and make sure we exercise our mental health as well as distancing for good physical health!

Dear HCA community, Based on Governor Wolf’s shutdown order, and in an effort to try and help flatten the curve of the Coronavirus/COVID-19, HCA will be closed as of today, March 13th, until further notice. Any scheduled appointments have been cancelled. ... Wishing everyone good health and safety during these challenging times. Let’s all keep washing our hands, not touch our face and practice social distancing. We hope to reopen as soon as possible, and will keep you updated about timing. In health and with love. Warmly, HCA

At HCA, in an effort to continually protect patients and staff, we are asking patients with symptoms of a cold or flu to please stay home. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to those that are unwell. We want to emphasize that regular acupuncture is an excellent immune booster so we encourage you to come for treatment as part of your self-care regimen in staying healthy!! That said, HCA cannot treat anyone for the coronavirus; if you think that you might have ...the coronavirus, please contact your primary healthcare provider immediately. (We figure you probably know this, but we’re obligated to say it.) And, if you have coughs or sneezing due to asthma, allergies, and other conditions, we will ask you to use a mask while you are receiving your acupuncture treatment (we have these available at the clinic). We are strongly encouraging patients to wash their hands or use hand sanitizer before settling into their recliner/table for their acupuncture treatment. We continue to monitor notifications from the CDC. We continue to clean the clinic regularly and wipe down all hard surfaces such as doorknobs, light switches, computer keyboards, water dispensers, recliner handles, etc. with germicidal disposable wipes. However, if you would like to bring in your own blanket to use, you are very welcome to do so. If you are sick and cannot come to your appointment, please give us a call at 610-789-1120 to let us know and we will waive the cancellation fee. We’re sending good thoughts out to all of you during this time. Please let us know if you have any questions!

Reminder! The flu is going around quite a bit right now. If you have fever, body aches, chills, feel like you've been hit by a truck AND/OR have a persistent cough, you might have the flu! The flu is highly contagious for a day BEFORE you're symptomatic, and a full 5 to 7 days AFTER you're symptomatic, EVEN IF you're feeling better. Given that we're a community setting with vulnerable populations, please refrain from getting treatment if you've been symptomatic for the flu within the last 7 days. HCA and the community thank you!

"At 12 and 18 month follow-up assessments, patients receiving acupuncture, herbs, and drugs had significantly greater patient outcomes than patients receiving only drugs."
