EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY!

Havertown Seventh Day Adventist Church 20.07.2020

Paul informs us in 2 Timothy 3:1 that in the last days perilous times will come. And speaking of the end of the ages, Jesus warned in Matthew 24:7 that there would be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. Well, folks, these are the last days! Within the past couple of days, the World Health Organization has declared COVID-19 (the coronavirus) a pandemic. Yesterday President Trump declared it a national emergency. The state of Pennsylvania has banned gat...herings of more than 1,000 people and discouraged groups greater than 250 from meeting together. Schools have been closed, businesses are urging their employees who can work from home to do so. And the North American Division suggests that churches and schools strongly reconsider the need to meet over the next two weeks. While we cannot be crippled by fear, we are admonished to watch first, then pray. Ellen G. White reminds us that God will not work a miracle to keep those from sickness who have no care for themselves, but are continually violating the laws of health and make no efforts to prevent disease (Councils on Health, p. 59). So in an effort to curb the spread of the disease, and to support our members, effective immediately, we will suspend all live gatherings at Havertown Seventh-day Adventist church until further notice. Services will instead be conducted virtually. Church members are encouraged to use our online meeting credentials for Prayer meetings at 7:00 PM on Wednesdays and at 10:00 AM on Sabbath mornings. Here is how you are to log on: Click on this link https://join.freeconferencecall.com/havertownsda or copy and paste it in your web browser. The meeting ID is HavertownSDA. The best way to access the conference is to use Google Chrome. If you do not have Chrome, you can either download it or download the Free Conference Call app in your app store. If you cannot access the online meeting, you can always dial in to the audio conference. The phone number is (425) 436-6391 and the Access Code is 297517#. Please continue to be diligent and prayerful as we wait for this to pass. Our God is powerful, and He’s got our backs. This pandemic did not take Him by surprise. So stay strong and have faith in His promises. God be with you all. Blessings, Pastor Sam Belony
